Description:
the election of Abraham Lincoln brought hope to the slaves of that time period because one of his main points was that he would bring an end to the slavery both in the north and the south. Without Abraham Lincoln the slavery that occurred back then would more than likely have occurred for a decent amount of time after the date it was deemed immoral.
