7 oct. 1763 - Proclamation of 1763
Description:
The British declared no one could settle west of the Appalachian mountains in order to help with tensions between the colonists and the natives, since the colonists had conquered a large amount of their land starting from the coast and going all the way to the mountains.
This frustrated the colonists because it felt like the British were trying to impede them from expansion and settling further west. While the British were trying to decrease the tensions the colonists felt as it was one more way they were keeping them under their control.
