Description:
Germany and the Allied powers (Britain, US, France, Italy and Japan) sign the treaty of Versailles, which requires Germany:
- Accept the 'war guilt' cause saying they caused the war
- Pay reparations for the damaged caused by WWI = 132 Billion gold marks (US$33bil)
- Demilitarise the Rhineland
- Reduce their army to 100,000 men
- Return the Alsace-Lorraine area to France
