Year:1826 This was one of Beethoven's final notable compositions due to him dying a year after this was composed. At this stage in his life Beethoven’s deafness was at its worst it's ever been and Beethoven started to be socially isolated from others but this didn't stop his love for music as he still continued to compose even in his state of health. This piece consisted of a string quartet and had four movements. The piece is really soft compared to his other works with a warm and harmonic melody without that much spike or abrasive sudden change in dynamics. The first and third movement are really slow and peaceful while the second movement is very fast paced, the fourth movement is a mixture of both. A notable section of this piece is at the start of the fourth movement, 18:20 where the strings seem to be mimicking each other one after another but at different pitches. Since this was one of the last notable pieces before his death, this piece contributes toward Beethoven's career as a contrast to his well known works such as Symphony No.5 in C minor, Op 67, with this piece being calmer and relaxed more like his earlier works.
