From the 1600-1810 people under Spanish rule in New Spain were quite unhappy with Spanish rule, and the corrupt Spanish government who was racist towards people. There were many protests up until 1810, this is when people of Spain declared the Mexican war of Independence from Spain. However, the Mexican war of Independence also marked the beginning of the revouloutionary war.

People of all classes become upset under Spanish rule. The natives because they have to give too much tribute to the Spanish, the Mestizos because they were always in poverty and they felt that they were giving lots to Spain but they got nothing in return, the creoles because even though they were rich they had to pay increasing taxes and in time they revolted as well. So in time all classes support the independence movement from Spain.

Also, there were shortages of good roads, schools, and housing in New Spain which made people there really upset.
