mar 24, 1325 - Aztecs claim Tenochtitlan
Description:
The Aztecs settle in Tenochtitlan for one reason; because they were prophesized to. Huitzilopochtli, one of the Aztecs gods, told them that they shall travel the Earth until they find a eagle sitting on top of a cactus, eating a snake. If they do find the eagle, they will settle in the best place for themselves. After years of the Aztecs travelling the Americas, they finally see the eagle eating a snake sitting on a cactus, and there they start to build their city, which will eventually become a grand empire.
