Created by Fred Benenson, the goal of this project was to translate the entirety of Herman Melville's "Moby Dick" into emojis.

Each sentence in the book is translated three different times by a set of workers, results are voted on by another set of workers, and the most popular translation is set to be included in the actual book.

He enlisted workers via the platform Kickstarter and was able to pay them through donations enlisted from another platform, Mechanical Turk. Each worker was paid $0.05 per translation and $0.02 per translation vote (Alonso, 2017).
