Emojipedia is an online emoji reference website created by Jeremy Burge in 2013. The website documents changes to emojis and their meanings, as well as depicts that emoji on different platforms and operating systems (Parde, 2018). Burge originally thought of the idea when Apple released iOS 6 with a new set of emojis, but failed to identify which ones were new. He created the website for himself, originally, and blames it on his attention to detail and tendency to examine efficiency.
