mar 1, 1932 - The 20-month old child of aviation pioneer and hero Charles Lindbergh is kidnapped from his home. The child’s body was found some weeks later. A direct result of issues relating to investigating the crime across state lines, the Federal Kidnapping Act (47 Stat 326) was passed and signed into law on 06/22/1932
