may 31, 1921 - Greenwood Massacre. In Tulsa, Oklahoma, a 19-year-old Black man was arrested on the charge of assaulting a white woman. The next day, white rioters attacked the Black community of Greenwood, killing dozens and destroying the most prosperous Black community in the U.S.
