jul 6, 1798 - Alien and Sedition Act 3. The “Act (2 Stat 577) respecting Alien Enemies” (07/06/1798) stated that in the event of actual or threatened invasion, residents in the US from the threatening nation could be “apprehended, restrained, secured and removed, as alien enemies.”
