TURNING POINT: This is a turning point in both U.S. history and in WWII. With the blindside attack of the U.S. port, many Americans were angered and we immediately were sprung deep into the war we were trying to avoid. With the U.S. and the Russians recently entering the war. With the situation looking very dire in both Europe and Asia at this point, this turned the tide of the war and eventually defeated the Axis powers. Also with the U.S. entering WWII, the manufacturing of munitions and other wartime products got us out of the great depression and cemnted us as a world power if not THE world power.
