- Designed by Ernst Schmidt
- Made in collaboration with Fritz Wurlitzer
- Changes to Boehm clarinet based on scientific and mathematical principles in an attempt to improve sound
- Essentially Boehm fingerings with a German bore
- Included rollers for pinky keys
- Register tube is on left side of clarinet, not back
- C#/G# key for RH1
- Vented low E/F key
