jan 1, 1969 - Death of Pugong
Description:
Pugong, a lesser-known member of the Aisin-Gioro clan, was the cousin of the Xuantong Emperor (Puyi) and a descendant of the Qing imperial family after the fall of the dynasty. As part of the lineage tied to Puyi, Pugong’s family remained connected to the legacy of the Qing, though his role was largely symbolic in the post-imperial era. He was also the father of Huang Shixiang, who is a Beijing Opera singer and third in line to the House of Aisin-Gioro.
