Description:

Provides districts with response-to-intervention model to determine child learning disabilities, and removes requirement of severe achievement and academic discrepancy to qualify for intervention. Also increases early intervention funds for students who do not require for special education resources.
Eliminated short term IEP goals for students not taking statewide assesments.
Raised standard for special education licensure.
Provides policies aimed at preventing disproportionate representation races and ethnicities in special education.
