Description:

This was a clear warning that something was beginning to happen inside the volcano. The amount of smoke increased noticeably, becoming thicker and more frequent. Shortly afterward, the lava level inside the crater began to rise as well. At this point, it was no longer possible to interpret the activity as a normal geological process. The combination of intensified smoke and rising lava strongly indicated that the volcano was entering an unstable and potentially dangerous phase.
