Description:
Under Edward the Saxons were beginning to advance against the vikings so in defense they sailed up the severn into the heart of Mercia and ravaged and plundered and generally made a mess. Sadly for them they were caught by an army of Saxons before they could leave the severn, and suffered ridiculously high losses, including the kings who were leading the fray.
It was the last Viking raiding party to ravage England
