Description:

After Pollock's 1950 show at the Parson's Garden did not sell, Pollock began to spiral down the rabbit hole. He believed that symbolic titles were misleading and instead used numbers and dates as his titles. During this time he also abandoned his drip paintings, and began painting in black and white - which proved unsuccessful. Pollock began depressed and haunted and often visited bars and get into drunken fights.
