On the first day of fifth grade, I spent time with my family, celebrating the start of a new grade. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my lower stomach, which got severely worse throughout the two hours I spent on the couch, wincing in pain. After a prolonged two hours, my father drove to the closest emergency room. This memory is agonizing for me to remember, but it is not because of the pain I was going through physically; it is because of what I said to my mother. While driving to the emergency room, my mother turned on the AC. I screamed at her, trying to relieve some of the pain. To this day, I still regret those words that I said, trying to remove the words throbbing in my head.
