- by Dec 1983, Henry Lee Lucas confessed to Elizabeth's murder; investigators took his confession seriously. According to at least one clipping from the time, HLL was able to provide details about the murder. However, it's unclear if she is a confirmed victim of his, as he is known for having made hundreds of false confessions. Various area newspapers listed her as one of HLL's victims in infrequent clippings from Dec 1983 to October 1984.
