jan 1, 1919 - Rowlatt Act

Description:

The Government passed the Rowlatt Act. This gave authority and power to arrest people and keep them in prisons without any trial, if they are suspected with the charge of terrorism. With this, the Indian Nation Congress began the Hartal Movement, that thousands of Indians participated in and stopped working and stopped selling and buying British goods in protest.
