On September 14th, 2024, Matthewplays318 returned to his country, Finisia, and discovered severe destruction. Large parts of the nation were flooded with lava and water, and most wooden structures had been burned down or destroyed. It quickly became clear that the damage was the result of a griefing incident linked to a previous conflict between OhioGlobus5404 and Matthewplays318, although the exact timing of the destruction could no longer be determined. Finisia required extensive restoration. As a first step, InfinityZoom187 carried out basic cleanup and stabilization efforts to begin the recovery process. Following the incident, Matthewplays318 decided to step down as President of Finisia. However, he remained in office temporarily until new elections could be held to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.
