On the 29th of April Captain James Cook landed in Australia Botany Bay after a nearly 3 year voyage across the southern pacific continents. Captain Cook was specially instructed to voyage to find “Terra Australis” and to claim it for Great Britain. Captain Cook and the crew stayed in Botany Bay for another 8 days before leaving for Great Britain, Captain Cook was secretly instructed to explore Australia and befriend the people of this land and to learn about the people and land, he was also instructed to see if there was any land he could claim for Great Britain.Added to timeline:
