27yo; during the pre-dawn hours of June 25, 1970, Yellow Cab driver Larry Hargis radioed the cab company dispatcher, saying a fare asked him to drive from 11th & C St. in downtown San Diego to the Spring Valley area.

Later that day, Hargis was found shot to death in a field in the 800 block of Galopago St in Spring Valley. His wallet and taxi were missing. The cab was later found abandoned that afternoon in the 1200 block of 16th St in downtown San Diego.

Robbery is considered a possible motive, but no suspects have ever been identified. According to one source (a Zodiac forum), he had been shot with a .22, but I want to find more sources to back this up.
