Description:

This committee was created because there needed to be a revision to the curriculum of high schools. This group's purpose was to examine the curriculum and make recommendations on how to better teach it. There were a few problems with this group though. The 10 members were all college professors so it was a biased group who made decisions based on college preparation. Another issue was they believed exercising the brain leads to intelligence. Today we still feel some of these issues. A lot of our issues today with education are similar to this and I believe it is this committee that ignited and put a spotlight on these issues.
