John Dalton was born on September 6th, 1766 in Eagslefield, Cumberland, England. In 1803, Dalton made his first discovery of the modern atom. Dalton said that the element has small invisible particles called atoms, all atoms that are of the same element are identical, and that atoms can neither be created or destroyed.
