Description:

The Death of Justinian II and succeed of young Tiberius III left the Roman Empire into chaos, the throne were changed as quickly as changing clothes. During this period, Arab invasion continued.

In concert with the offensive in Anatolia, the Roman fleet under the command of the Droungarios Romanos the Illyrian whom launched a number of naval assaults on Syria, sacking Tripoli and Tyrus, and evacuating many of the civilians from those cities, who were taken back and settled in Greece or on the Aegean Islands.
