jan 30, 1873 - The Conservative Parties Agree to Rename "New" Cons. Party Renames to the New Party "Old" Cons. Party Renames to the Elite Party

Description:

After the parties both failed to perform well in the 1973 Tsivgale Election, the "New" Conservative Party sought to talk to the "Old" Conservative Party about name changes. At first the two parties would not agree to change their own name as both believed themselves to be the true Conservative Party. However, as negotiations continued, the OCP agreed to change their name only if the NCP changed their name too. So the OCP became the Elite Party and the NCP became the New Party.
