Johnny Depp is known where ever he goes so has used a good proportion of his hard earned wealth to buy privacy away from prying eyes, autograph hunters, selfie snappers and situations where he feels the needs for bodyguards. The Island is privately owned so to step foot on it is trespassing which signs do make clear in a typically Johnny Depp friendly manner. This video shows someone invading Johnny’s property without permission - no different if they had walked into someone’s garden or back yard and started filming. The video is included here as a curiosity and example of appalling behaviour.


"We anchored near the sea aquarium across from Halls Pond and Bell Island in the Exumas. We were official in Exuma Park, conservation area. After a little snorkelling, we ventured off to Halls Pond, we went ashore to the little beach. While I ventured up the road a little, Alex found what he though was a telescope in the bushes. But it was a security camera, he stuck his eye right into it. Imagine the securities guards thought when he saw a little kid looking right into the camera. They came over to inspect with their golf carts. They were very polite and asked if they could help us in anyway, they offered us fuel for our dinghy even. They never kicked us off the island. In the Bahamas no one owns the beaches up to the highest high tide line. After a few minutes we just decided to leave.

But we had a completely different experience on Bell Island, owned by the Aga Khan. They were very rude, forcefully with intimidation kicked us off. That was on a different occasion, after we had sailing virtually non-stop from the BVIs, and had not stepped for on land for 6 days. We said we would just stay below the high tide line. They didn't care they told us to get off the island, or there would be trouble."
