Edward "Eddie" Charles Allan Brock is born to Carl and Jamie Brock. Eddie was born in Queens, New York.

Eddie would come to bond with the symbiote that was recently separated from Spider-Man, becoming the anti-hero: Venom.

Eddie would grow up with Peter Parker and co. as the eldest member of the group. Eddie would go on to develop a hatred for Peter and would come to blame him for his misfortunes. With the bonding of the symbiote that Peter had recently separated from, he would work to make Peter's life as miserable as possible.

Eddie would later go on to redeem himself as a hero in his son's eyes and eventually save the world from the symbiote god, Knull, becoming the new King in Black.
