16yo; a runaway from Connecticut, she had been living in the Monterey area for the past few months

4pm: She left the apartment she shared with a 16yo roommate in Pacific Grove, a community primarily inhabited by other young people, after a "minor" disagreement over the cleanliness of their apartment.

10:30pm: Body found in in the street at 11th St & Horning in San Jose, ~70mi from where she was last seen alive. She had been severely beaten, then dumped from a vehicle and purposefully run over. She was not wearing shoes when she was found. She was wearing shorts and a halter top. She was known to hitchhike, which may explain the 70mi difference from her last known whereabouts to the location of her body.

A couple early reports mistakenly say that she was stabbed. Her murder is unsolved, and she is listed on the San Jose PD's cold case page.
