Description:
Resolution on the Middle East Situation
1. Condemns Israel's continued occupation of Arab territories, in violation of the Charter of the United Nations and international law.
2. Reaffirms that a just and lasting peace requires Israel's withdrawal from all territories occupied since 5 June 1967 and the attainment of the Palestinian people's inalienable rights.
3. Calls for the early convening of the Peace Conference on the Middle East under United Nations auspices, co-chaired by the USSR and the USA, with participation from all concerned parties, including the Palestine Liberation Organization.
4. Urges all parties to work towards a comprehensive settlement under the UN framework, addressing all aspects of the conflict.
5. Requests the Security Council to take necessary measures to implement relevant UN resolutions and facilitate a comprehensive settlement for lasting peace.
6. Requests the Secretary-General to oversee the resolution's implementation and inform all concerned, including the Co-Chairmen of the Peace Conference.
7. Also requests the Secretary-General to report periodically to the Security Council on the situation and submit a comprehensive report to the General Assembly at its thirty-third session.
