The situation in the reactor worsened significantly after the radioactive radiation continued to spread. Because the molten reactor core remained in constant contact with cooling water, a violent reaction eventually occurred. This reaction triggered a massive explosion. The entire reactor room was destroyed, and the molten structure collapsed, causing radiation levels to surge far beyond anything previously recorded. The contamination became more intense and far more dangerous than before. In response, OhioGlobus5404 ordered the area to be fully locked down. He established a restricted zone around the irradiated reactor chamber and distributed special protective suits for anyone who needed to enter. However, it quickly became clear that even these suits were insufficient. The radiation was so strong that they could not fully protect against its effects, leaving the area effectively unusable and extremely hazardous for any further attempts at repair or containment.
