As a first response to the growing crack in reality, OhioGlobus5404 took drastic action. He decided to flood the entire room containing the Backrooms portal. The intention behind this measure was to create a physical barrier. If anything were to emerge from the third dimension, the water would slow its movement and make it significantly more difficult for it to spread further into the laboratory and, ultimately, into Inostropia itself. It was an emergency containment strategy, chosen out of necessity rather than certainty, as the situation around the portal continued to become increasingly unstable and unpredictable.
