Published A Treatise of Taxes & Contributions. Pre-classical rent theory. Held that land and labor were or should be the source of value. Natural rent of a parcel of land was surplus above the cost of reproducing the worker who works the land. Suggested a relationship between the interest rate and rent as % of land value.
