There is some speculation on a Zodiac forum that she was "dating" 31yo Joseph Raymond Carey at the time. Carey, a political extremist, was wanted by the FBI for a multitude of things, including failing to appear in court for his Aug. 8, 1964 trial. According to a 1966 newspaper clipping, he "may be accompanied by another armed and dangerous, wanted fugitive, as well as a 16-year-old runaway girl" (aka Lynn Luray). The theory is that Lynn ran away with Carey, and they were put into hiding and/or killed by Dennis Patrick Mower, another political extremist and member of the Minutemen. Mower was involved in/has links to a ton of nefarious activities, such as being friends with KKK Imperial Wizard Sam Bowers; possibly sending letters to Jack Ruby, killer of Lee Harvey Oswald; and possibly being directly involved in MLK Jr's assassination.
A man named Keith Gilbert claims to have seen Lynn B Luray and Joseph Carey being harbored by Dennis Patrick Mower and his mother at 13136 Vanowen St., Apt. A, N. Hollywood, CA in 1965. Gilbert is a former member of the Aryan Nations and has spent time in prison for plotting to blow up MLK Jr, among other things
