oct 7, 1967 - Pym Particle Detected

Description:

Hank Pym detects what he believes to be his Pym particle at the Stanford Linear Accelerator. Using an experimental beamline meant to probe virtual particles, he accidentally induced a topological transition in the manifold—isolating a unique quantum object that doesn’t behave like a conventional particle. It did not appear as a particle at all, but as a geometry spike in data: a momentary blip where quantum systems behave as if they’ve been “unfolded” or “compacted,” showing scaling errors in all instruments. His colleagues believed it was instrument error.
