19yo; fully-clothed strangled body found at the side of Highway 101 near the Asti overpass in Cloverdale, CA at 8:05pm; she had been dead for ~1hr

She had left Crescent City, hitchhiking, at ~10am on Oct. 16; she then apparently purchased fruit at a store or fruit stand somewhere on the road, possibly in Eureka or Arcata. She was apparently hitchhiking south on Highway 101, heading home to Santa Clara, when she was strangled to death

She had apparently been tied up. Her body showed no signs of being raped or sexually assaulted. Her 3mo German Shepherd puppy was found wandering loose at a Cloverdale school.
