At around 7 PM, InfinityZoom187 returned to the Backrooms station together with BVB got 1, Mrbossethan1112, and OhioGlobus5404. The zombie infestation was still present, and Infinity’s main goal was to check whether the reactor connected to the portal was functioning properly after the earlier instability, which had previously caused the portal to become accessible from both sides.

Although all visible pipes and systems appeared stable, there were still concerns about hidden malfunctions. Suddenly, the reactor water began to boil. Infinity reported the situation to Ohio immediately, who reacted with alarm and ordered the emergency alarm to be activated. After a short delay, Infinity complied, just in time, as the reactor core began to melt only seconds later.

Ohio then ordered a full evacuation of the Backrooms station. However, Infinity and BVB chose to stay behind initially. Infinity attempted to stabilize or save the reactor but quickly realized it was impossible.

While they observed the portal, a small explosion occurred. It caused no immediate damage, but released strange particles and a loud shockwave. Moments later, the portal suddenly exploded completely, destroying the surrounding wall and creating a large breach. Most critically, the portal was now open on both sides, allowing the zombies to escape the Backrooms.

Recognizing the severity of the situation, Infinity quickly attempted to prevent the outbreak. In the rush, he equipped emergency gear including firearms, grenades, night vision goggles, bulletproof vests, medkits, and even added an “Inostropia” logo to the Minecraft loading screen as a symbolic emergency protocol.

He then ordered an immediate assault into the Backrooms to eliminate the zombies before they could spread. However, the mission failed within five minutes, forcing a retreat.

In response, Inograd was hastily sealed off with large defensive walls. By this point, it was clear that containment was no longer possible. Ohio began evacuating Inostropian citizens into a newly constructed bunker, which was nearing completion and was the largest bunker ever built in Inostropia at that time.

As predicted, the zombies reached Inograd and overran it completely. The population had already been moved into the bunker, and the entire country went into lockdown. Over the following days, the outbreak spread further.

The zombie apocalypse had officially begun.
