He also arranges meet and greets with the few tribes that exist outside the city. Many guardians attend these trips because they respect the Scientist so much, he is like their Godfather (not in the mafia sense, but in the family sense).
Members of the disposal team are also often in attendance because they are basically in charge of the transportation. Some are annoyed they have to deal with this added pain in the neck, others take this education to heart.
Some realize that they were seeing it all and understanding none of it. OG Scientist helps them understand what is happening without ever blaming them.
OG Scientist: "Your guilt is to be an arrow and the tension you feel is the bow in which it is nestled. Release it, and if it must strike somewhere it will be my heart, for I alone possess the target you are seeking. You are not responsible my brothers and sisters. It was me that has unwittingly turned you against yourself."
This statement will also foreshadow the split that is about to come. His actions do lead to much more than guilt.
