Description:

Realizing that Loki has been gone for some time, and deeply suspicious of his brother's absence, Thor consults the Norn about his whereabouts. they tell him to travel to Utgarda. On his way, he stops and spends the night with peasants, and their children Thjálfi and Röskva. Thor agrees to take the children into his service.

They arrive at Utgarda and meet the lord there, Skrymir, who tells them of monsters that haunt the Ironwoods, near his borders. Thor agrees to help quell these monsters. That night, Thor lays with Járnsaxa, daughter of Skrymir.
