Historical records supported the Inostropian position, indicating that the land had always been part of Inostropia. The claims were considered illegitimate, and references to alleged ownership by WeeGamerKlaus were also unsubstantiated, with no evidence confirming any prior legitimate control. Even if such ownership had existed, it would not justify Kamatović’s broader territorial claim. As tensions escalated, war began to seem inevitable. However, the situation was ultimately de-escalated by OhioGlobus5404, who acted as Infinity’s diplomatic representative and entered negotiations with De Kokkies. After several intense minutes of discussion, a compromise was reached that Infinity supported: the introduction of a functional party-based electoral system within the Inostropian Federation. Under this system, political parties would be elected by vote, and seats in the Senate would be distributed proportionally based on their share of the vote. The Senate consisted of 18 seats in total, meaning, for example, that a party receiving 50% of the vote would gain 9 seats. In exchange, Kamatović agreed to rejoin the Inostropian Federation if the system proved successful. It also committed to making a final decision by June 20th, and to permanently refrain from claiming Inostropian territory, instead accepting its current territorial status. Both sides agreed to the compromise, and the first party elections were initiated. The participating parties were the United Federation, the LCSP, and the ELP.
