Description:

I discussed the issue of Steve wanting to be a face to face man rather than coming straight to me with his problems he had gone with Val to John Crosby as "the elder statesman with plenty of wisdom". I asked about the meeting with Malcolmand Audrey as I had been convinced from the conversation with John Crosby that there had been a link. I thought that Steve denied that there had been a link and went home troubled and mystified. Val came to speak to me before the evening service to explain that there had been some conversation between them as a couple and Malcolm and Audrey. I got the impression that Malcolm and Audrey had led in this. I was angry because I felt that I had trusted Malcolm to preach and to be recognised as an acceptable preacher. Here I percieved him as undermining me to church members.
