August 27, 2010 (Day 3):

- Fewer students arrive at Paul R. Williams High School due to the virus and the shooting from the night before. The video of the shooting is shown to all the employees and Principal Art Costa, who then contacts the school district. The school district decides to release school early in the morning.
- In class, Alicia and two friends watch footage of the highway incident on their phones before their teacher confiscates them. Principal Costa announces that school will be a half-day, and Madison tells Alicia to go home. However, Alicia notices Matt was also absent from school and decides to go to his house.
