Description:

The goal of this agreement was to increase the sphere of influence of America in East Asia and hopefully implement Western government and Christian ideology in Asia. The Treaty made immigration between the two nations a lot easier and allowed the Federal government to get rid of the Californian anti-Chinese laws.
