Description:

1.Jeremiah Horne, one member of the society, did extra work on boots for their boss Isaac Wait for free. Society fined him, but he refused to pay
2.Society charged as a criminal conspiracy for being coercive
3.Defense: Wages of the society were reasonable and other professional organizations like the society were common in Boston. Society only for mutual interest and improvement. No force, fraud or nuisance
4.The Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled that the common-law doctrine of criminal conspiracy did not apply to labour unions
