Lily discovers where Harry had been sneaking off to every night, after being informed of Snape's suspicions. She chides him, forbidding him from seeking the mirror out again. When Harry is about to leave, she lingers and looks into the Mirror, seeing herself with Severus and Harry and several other children. When Harry calls back to her, she turns away, and never returns.
