Luke tells us that Elizabeth had been pregnant for six months when Mary became pregnant with Jesus came to visit Elizabeth. So, Jesus had been in the womb for three months when John the Baptist was born during Passover.

That means that Jesus would have been born six months later at the onset of the Festival of Tabernacles. There is some ancient evidence that early Jewish believers celebrated the birth of the Messiah on the first day of the Festival of Tabernacles and His circumcision on the “Eighth Day.”

Michael Heiser (Reversing Hermon, chapter 4) says that he was born on September 11, 3 BCE, on Rosh HaShannah, coinciding with a conjunction of the planet Jupiter and the star Regulus.
