Arabs rioted armed with knives and sticks as a response to a Jewish protest demanding ownership of the Temple Mount, the riot reached a Jewish neighbourhood where three Arab men were subsequently killed, unclear by who, although rumors spread among the rioters stating two Arabs were murdered by Jews, massacre of Jews across the mandate ensued.
