nov 1, 1892 - a boy and a girl were lynched along with their father in November,1892, in Jonesville, Louisiana.

Description:

The father, named Hastings, was accused of the murder of a white man. Consequently, his 14 yr old daughter and 16 year old son were hanged and their bodies filled with bullets, then the father was also lynched. This case is just pure torture; the whites killed his children first, in FRONT of him, then killed him. And all for a crime that he was only accused of doing; he wasn't even arrested or convicted!

This case is also another example of the adultification of black children and how they were seen and treated as adults thus being given adult punishments. What's even sadder is the children had no connection to the crime; even the dad had no established connection to the crime. Their only crime: being black in the racist American South.
